Can’t keep the boy away! Leonardo from Birra del Borgo loved Australia so much when he visited in February that he’s coming back again in May. From the 11th May through till the 26th May Leo and the Birra del Borgo crew will be travelling around Australia with events in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne.
First stop is Sydney on
Saturday May 11th we’ll be taking over the wine crowd for a tasting at 121BC
Monday May 13th: Mitch and the crew at Bloodwood in Newtown will be hosting a degustation evening showcasing 5 beers beautifully matched with food prepared specially by the chefs at Bloodwood
Tuesday May 14th: Murray’s vs Birra del Borgo- the showdown! Five beers each going to head to head with the brewers battling it out for beery supremacy ( not really we’re all very friendly in the beer world!)
Thursday May 16th: wine vs beer we’ve got an evening event tasting Birra del Borgo beers aside the gorgeous Coriole wines at Coriole winery in McLaren Vale
Friday May 17th: Back to our favourite local The Wheaty in Adelaide. We’ll spend the day brewing the much anticipated My Anchovia with Jade and then celebrate with a few beers in the evening as Birra del Borgo take over the taps
Saturday May 18th: Off to Melbourne for the opening party at the Terminus
Sunday May 19th: We’re part of the team for the Mega Dega an amazing line up of restaurants and brewers getting together at Virginia Plain to bring you the mega delight!
Monday May 20th: A Bizarre tasting at Prince Wine Store in Richmond. We’ll be tasting a range of 6 of the great Birra del Borgo Bizarro’s limited release beers
Tuesday May 21st: Spoil yourselves and head to Grossi Florentino for our degustation dinner with beers matched superbly with the culinary talents of Guy Grossi
Friday May 24th: Birra del Borgo collaboration event at Slow Beer
Saturday/Sunday: GABS We’ll be presenting the Birra del Borgo beer specially made for the GAB’s festival in honour of the great ex ( and hopefully NOT soon to be) leader of Italy that man of great taste and talent Berlo! Our beer is Myrtle’s Bunga Bunga! See what happens to an innocent little aussie as she finds herself in Italy!
