One special time a year Birra del Borgo celebrate their birthday with a huge weekend long party ( we’ll be going along but might be a bit far to come for you lot in Oz) and the release of their Anniversario beer. No 7 has just been released for sale and it promises to be an absolute cracker! The beer is always based on the ReAle but every year it gets a face job! This year it’s gone hoppy mad! With hops from all the continents, Hallertau Saphir from Europe, Amarillo from America, Nelson Sauvin from Oceania, Sorachi Ace from Asia and ok we know there’s no hops grown in Africa so…… they added roiboos, the red leaves are used to make a type of tea and this added gives amazing colour and flavour. The beer is continuously hopped every minute and then dry hopped throughout the fermentation process. With orange peel zest, pepper, spices from Zanzibar and a little bit of ginger added the result is absolutely out of this world! But this beer is released only once a year and will be available for a very short time so if you are keen to try it get your pre-orders in as it’s your only chance to try this round the world hoppy experience!
