So its been a few months since we had a fresh shipment of Sixpoint, and thats for a very good reason. While we've been busy with beer festivals, they have been busy changing their entire beer line up with a change to the can style, slight graphics tweaks, new can sizes, and even better core beer recipes. Even better all of this as also meant that pricing has also come down and we can expect to see our favourite US cans now at prices comparable to premium end Australian craft.
For August we have a full container including new kegs from their core range, Mad Scientist collection and Spice of Life single hop editions.
Pre-sales will open shortly and expect to see a rush of orders as everyone gets back in-stock of this fantastic range of awesome beers.

Clown Shoes growing popularity has meant that we are now finding it hard to get stock. Every year Rate Beer announce awards for a number of categories based on a truly independent tasting panel,,,the world of craft beer drinkers. Every year we wait in anticipation for this list. So for 2014 we have been lucky enough to secure 3 of the top 5 voted Best new brewers Internationally, and for July we have one of those from London.
A perfect name for a brewery, as we all know brewers love their beards! Based in a very small brewery close to central London these guys love IPA's and are a perfect example of why we think UK brewers are currently the best in the world. Burning SKY
Its a great industry to work in when you have brewers recommending each others beers and Burning Sky is a case in point. During a recent visit to have a beer with our mates at Magic Rock, we got talking about new brewers and Burning Sky came up as a top pic of the Rock boys.
So recommendation in hand we set off to find this brewery which turns out its on an old manor estate that still has a lord and is located in one of the old barn buildings, which the lord had kindly agreed to renovate for them.
The brain child behind a UK brewing legend Mark the ex head brewer of Dark Star for the last 15 years. His aim was to create a playground for his experimentation and to create truly exception beers. So their first ever export is to Australia and we have been lucky enough to secure 2 of their core offerings that really do taste fantastic and as I have already says, re-enforce my view that UK brewers are rocking the world at the moment

Why did it take us so long to find a great Belgian brewer! And now I can't get enough. De Ranke was an experiment for us to see how a traditional brewery would go in the hop focused new knows world of Australian craft, and wow...its gone off.

Birra Del Borgo
The world of Italian craft beers just keeps getting better. Birra Del Borgo along with Brewfist launched our business a number of years ago and in that time Birra Del Borgo has gone on to be one of most consistent sellers with a range of the highest quality beers on the market. This month sees a return of some very special beers that have changed the perception on what beer should be, from our wild raspberry brewed Rubus through to the barrel aged creations of Old Antonia and Imperiale, wine meets beer Equilabrista and finally the annual release of their anniversary creation that takes their core beer Reale and gives it a twist, previous years have all rated in the high 90's on Rate Beer and our first tasting of this new anniversary shows it will be just as well received.
The launch event this year in Italy was even more special as we had our other brewing friends present from To Øl, Bridge Road and Lervig from Norway

After a very successful Australian trip during Good Beer Week, Tobias from To Øl accepted an invite to head down to our other favourite brewer Birra Del Borgo and we had a chance to hang out and taste a number of these new beers in the sun and fun of an Italian beer festival. Birra Del Borgo's birthday.
Can our crazy Dan's do no wrong!!! I had the first taste of Garden of Eden with the sun belting down, and wow fruit meets beer. This new style of beer is lovely, sweet, bitter, hoppy all rolled into one juicy creation. Its almost all sold out as I type but I am sure we will get some more. Also for the month we have some of To Øl's well know top rated dark and barrel aged beers, some awesome as always IPA's and for those of you that think these beers are too expensive....you need to taste them! Take a look at the Anti Session series we have which has been priced lower to make it more approachable for a first time Danish craft beer drinker. 3 great styles, 3 great beers.

The last 6 months has seen a flood of new activity from these brewing young guns, very un italian and very awesome beers! July sees the biggest release of new beers from Brewfist we have had for a while, and in true style they are big, hoppy and or slightly left of centre.
This month we have the re-release of the Prairie collaboration Spaghetti Western, which is perfect timing for the launch of the prairie range. The they also teamed up with De Molen to create 2 new beers one of which had some additional helpers from 2 other Italian masters, Toccalmatto, Ducato,
One of the beers M.I.L.D. could be mistaken for an actual mild... but think again, this is far from a mild drinking beer, and is mild in bitterness but big in flavour and ABV.
We then have their anniversary beer back as well as the To Øl collaboration beer.
So its a month of collaboration and big beers.

Toccalmatto
Expect an exciting mix of brand new beers in keg and bottles landing for the month. While not cheap, quality comes at a price and Toccalmatto deliver an experience with every beer. Known as the freak show brewer, they are the closest thing to a crazy Dane like To Øl, that Italy has. Every month they come up with new creations, but they also have an amazing core range of beers, including the worlds top rated Bitter.

The first US brewer we worked with keeps on delivering great beers, and has been rewarded by another vote into this years Rate Beer global top 100 brewers list. The problem now is their popularity and getting hold of all their new beers each month.

Undead is actually a new version of the ever popular "Vampire Slayer" renamed with minor recipe change, after a trademark lawyer decided to try and get money out of hem for the use of them word Vampire. we love lawyers :-)

Following the successful launch of our first Belgian brewer de Glazen Toren we have our 2nd new master from De Ranke making its way to Oz. Like Glazen Toren the beers have been available grey or via beer clubs, but never available for national distribution.

Hendo's at it again creating he's unique brews to launch onto the Australian drinker. Following the success of Keep on Truck'in, "Red IPA" from March we have a 2nd batch, but once gone, its all gone, plus his latest creation - Beer Geek Quit (now I had no idea what that meant but apparently if you're a gamer you will know) In Hendo's words the new beer is:

These guys never disappoint when it comes to new beers. To date every month we have sold out of most of the beers before they even land, and despite the high cost, the appetite does not seem to be dropping with a core fan base waiting every month to get the latest creation. Whats great this month is we not only have a new selection of their big crazy beers, but they have just released a new session range of beers at a new price which makes them more approachable to the average drinker. There's more than one great Scottish Brewer!, We are constantly on the hunt for new and exciting beers and brewers, and when one of your top brewers recommends one, you take notice, and we are glad we did! A young brewer up in the Scottish Highlands (so far out that even our freight company had trouble collecting the beers), sent us a batch of his signature beers to try. The bottles arrived and firstly they looked great (The picture does not do them justice), then the tasting, and wow, every beer in the range delivered an experience that we wanted to repeat, with a good range of styles and beers that really deliver, well balanced, nicely hopped beers for all occasions. The only problem with Buxton is their labels and bottles!, We'll thats changing, gone are the daggy English bottles with their bad artwork and bulky 500ml looking bottles, and enter the totally revamped Buxton with great new label images, a new logo and new beers. These guys have proved to be a hit when it comes to delivering a core range of Pale Ales through to IPA's brewed to perfection, delivering big tastes and non traditional English beers. A very small brewery location in London and run by some very cool dudes that have a very famous Rock Star connection (you can work it out..). Originally started in the kitchen of a small pub called Dukes, they quickly gained a reputation for edgy new age beers , combining the English tradition with new world experimentation. From humble beginnings they have quickly been recognised as the new wave and achieved this years best new brewer award from Rate Beer in the 2013 awards. They have only just expanded into a full scale production brewery so stocks are still limited. We have convinced them to share with us a selection of their fantastic beers in both bottle and keg. After a small false start with EU customs, the stock is finally on it way and will land 2nd week Oct (just after our main shipment). Don't waste time as this is a rare shipment and will run out quickly.

Its been a month of collaborations around Europe with 3 of our dream pairings taking place to produce a very limited selection of 3 new beers. To Øl made the trip across the channel to have a play with our good mates and the IPA kings at Buxton and then took the short drive up country to play with our other favourite UK brewer Magic Rock. The results will speak for themselves with all beers in a short space of time rating above 90 on Rate Beer. The selection is limited and these beers will be very popular with lovers of all 3 breweries. Unfortunately the bottles did not make this shipment so its just kegs at this stage and we'll follow just before Christmas with a selection of the bottles.

Buxton have been busy at work with collaborations, new beer creation and a full image overhaul. Our number 1 brewer has released a small selection of their Bizzaro Beers for the month including the Cantillon Collaboraiton "Duchessic" (very limited and qtys will be rationed out), MAX 1 per order. 1st in first served.
Plus their big hoppy Amber IPA, A brand new bottle shape and image (image left), champagne bottle styles similar to larger bottles and new stylish labels. Over the coming months you'll also see a broader range of 330ml bottles released with the first being the fantastic black IPA "Hoppy Cat" , and finally My Antonia 330ml is back in-stock, but the wait is worth it with a new bottle, new labels and high alcohol %
